el_class=&#8221;mobile-text-padding&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Ley del Aire Limpio de Florida<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La protecci\u00f3n de los floridanos contra el humo de segunda mano y el aerosol de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos es esencial para mantener nuestras comunidades sanas y din\u00e1micas, y ese es el prop\u00f3sito de la Ley del Aire Limpio de Florida (FCAA por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/p>\n<p>La legislatura de Florida promulg\u00f3 dicha ley en 1985 para proteger a las personas de los peligros que el humo de segunda mano representa para la salud. En 2003, la legislatura pas\u00f3 una enmienda aprobada por los votantes que prohib\u00eda fumar en lugares de trabajo donde antes se permit\u00eda. Dicha enmienda fue un gran paso hacia la prevenci\u00f3n de consecuencias serias para la salud y de muertes causadas por la exposici\u00f3n al humo de segunda mano. Debido a esta enmienda, la ley de Florida proh\u00edbe fumar en la mayor\u00eda de los negocios p\u00fablicos y privados, lo que incluye restaurantes. Si bien existen unas pocas excepciones, como establecimientos que son principalmente bares, la enmienda permite a muchos floridanos vivir sin estar expuestos al humo de segunda mano.<\/p>\n<p>Una enmienda a la ley FCAA, aprobada por los votantes y que entr\u00f3 en vigencia el 1 de julio de 2019, proh\u00edbe los vaporizadores y el uso de cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos en los lugares de trabajo. Esta adici\u00f3n a la ley no limita el uso de cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos o vaporizadores en residencias privadas, tiendas de tabaco, establecimientos que son principalmente bares o habitaciones de hoteles donde se permita fumar.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>El problema<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El humo de segunda mano es un serio problema de salud en los lugares de trabajo. El humo del tabaco contiene m\u00e1s de 7,000 qu\u00edmicos, <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> de los cuales cientos son t\u00f3xicos y alrededor de 70 pueden causar c\u00e1ncer. <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a> La exposici\u00f3n al humo de segunda mano siempre es riesgosa. De hecho, hasta una exposici\u00f3n breve puede ser da\u00f1ina para tu salud. <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>3,<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>4,<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>5<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Los efectos a largo plazo de los vaporizadores a\u00fan se desconocen pero s\u00ed sabemos que el aerosol de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos, es decir el vapor, no es inofensivo. El aerosol de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos NO es solo \u201cvapor de agua\u201d, como muchos creen err\u00f3neamente. <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>6<\/sup><\/a> El aerosol que se inhala en los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos y luego se exhala puede contener sustancias da\u00f1inas y potencialmente nocivas, incluyendo qu\u00edmicos que causan c\u00e1ncer y metales pesados, como el n\u00edquel, el esta\u00f1o y el plomo. <a href=\"#ref\"><sup>7<\/sup><\/a> Algunos de los ingredientes del aerosol de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos podr\u00edan ser perjudiciales para los pulmones.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Protecci\u00f3n y defensa<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las empresas no siempre cumplen la ley, lo cual puede llevar a serias consecuencias de salud, principalmente en ni\u00f1os, personas con condiciones de salud existentes y ancianos, grupos vulnerables a la exposici\u00f3n del humo de segunda mano.<\/p>\n<p>Al reportar una violaci\u00f3n a dicha ley, t\u00fa juegas un papel importante al asegurar que tus seres queridos est\u00e9n protegidos del t\u00f3xico humo de segunda mano y del vapor de los cigarrillos electr\u00f3nicos.<\/p>\n<p>Para reportar una violaci\u00f3n de la FCAA:[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;2em&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_width=&#8221;grid&#8221;][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;top-to-bottom&#8221;
