County SWAT Information

SWAT is Florida's statewide youth organization working to mobilize, educate and equip Florida youth to revolt against and de-glamorize Big Tobacco. SWAT is a united movement of empowered youth working towards a tobacco free future.

According to the 2019 Florida Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) 16.3% of Brevard's adult population currently smokes compared to 14.8% for the state.

Local Initiatives

Local initiatives supported by the Tobacco Free Brevard Partnership include: Tobacco Free Public Parks and Beaches, Counteract Tobacco Industry Influences at the Retail Point of Sale, Policies in K-12 Schools, Smoke Free Multiunit Housing, and Increase Cessation Access Among Priority Populations.
