Partnership Information

Our mission is to mobilize community partners to establish long-lasting system & policy changes that promote tobacco-free social norms to prevent usage of tobacco by youth, eliminate secondhand smoke, & decrease the number of deaths due to tobacco.

County SWAT Information

SWAT is a statewide youth organization working to mobilize, educate, and equip Florida youth to revolt against and de-glamorize Big Tobacco.

The rates of youth tobacco and e-cigarettes use continues to rise and remains slightly above the state average in Lake County according to the Florida Youth Tobacco Survey. The most current figures available show adult smoking rates are also rising.

Local Initiatives

Our work focuses on advancing local policies that reduce tobacco use in all its forms by impacting city and county policies, school district policies, and organizational policies, reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, and helping tobacco users who are ready to quit get the support they need.
