Tobacco Free Lafayette is working to keep Lafayette residents safe from the dangers of tobacco.

According to the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, Lafayette County - 26.4% of Adults use tobacco compared to only 14.8% statewide - 9.9% of Lafayette adults use chewing tobacco or dip- compared to only 2.2% statewide
Tobacco Free Lafayette is focusing on the following: - Helping our school district communicate and enforce their tobacco free schools policy - Working with our local government to pass tobacco free parks ordinances - Empowering our local youth to influence their peers to make fact-based decisions regarding nicotine use
Tobacco Free Lafayette holds quarterly meetings at the Lafayette Public Library. Our next meeting will be held on February 10, 2025 at 12pm.
