The mission of Tobacco Free Nassau is to mobilize community partners to establish long-lasting system and policy changes that promote tobacco-free social norms in order to prevent use and exposure to tobacco products, and support tobacco cessation.

Youth tobacco use remains a serious problem in Nassau County. The 2018 Florida Youth Tobacco Survey suggests: 36% youth ages 11–17 has used a tobacco product; 31% of youth have tried vaping; 59% of youth report exposure to secondhand smoke/vapor.
Civic Communications (CivCom) is the state of Florida grantee responsible for the tobacco prevention programs of Nassau county. These programs support tobacco-free partnerships and Students Working Against Tobacco.
