County SWAT Information

Osceola SWAT is a youth-led advocacy organization dedicated to empowering youth to live tobacco/vape free. SWAT students advocate for local policy change to protect their generation from Big Tobacco. Contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Findings from the 2022 Florida Youth Tobacco Survey revealed that 1 in 10 youth (10%) ages 11–17 in the county uses tobacco—a trend driven by vaping (1 in 11 youth [9%]). Approximately two-thirds (62%) of youth report being exposed to secondhand smoke from cigarettes or Electronic Vapor Products.
